How to Learn a Language in 30 Days: A Realistic Plan

The LanguageSkills Team · 6 October 2026

"Fluent in 30 days" is a myth. But "from zero to simple conversations in 30 days"? That's absolutely doable with the right focus. Here's an honest plan.

Week 1 — sounds & survival

Nail pronunciation and your first 100 words and phrases: greetings, numbers, essentials. Start speaking out loud immediately.

Week 2 — build sentences

Learn the present tense of core verbs, basic questions, and enough grammar to make your own sentences. Talk about yourself, your day, what you want.

Week 3 — everyday situations

Practise real scenarios: ordering, shopping, directions, small talk. Add the past tense so you can tell simple stories.

Week 4 — put it together

Have short conversations, review everything with spaced repetition, and push your speaking. By day 30 you'll handle basic exchanges — a genuine A1 foundation.

Thirty days won't make you fluent. It will make you a speaker — and that changes everything.

Do it with a daily lesson
