Why learn Arabic?

  • Work in the Gulf with more confidence — with colleagues, customers and patients in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain.
  • Read signs, forms, contracts and news written in Modern Standard Arabic across more than 20 countries.
  • Understand everyday speech — every lesson notes how a phrase is said in the Gulf.
  • Start from zero: a dedicated script unit teaches the alphabet and vowel marks before lesson one.

Arabic exams & how to take them

Who can take them: Anyone. No Gulf work visa, Golden Visa or Premium Residency, and no Gulf health licence, requires an Arabic certificate — for most jobs Arabic is something employers prefer, not a legal gate. The exceptions are Qatar permanent residency and naturalisation in the Gulf states, where the law asks for knowledge of Arabic (assessed by the authorities, not by a named exam). Take a test if you want proof of your level for a CV or a university course.

Our course builds the CEFR skills these exams test, but it isn't tied to either exam's format. You sit the exam itself with the official body. LanguageSkills does not issue official certificates.

Where Arabic can take you

Healthcare in the Gulf

Gulf health-licensing exams are generally taken in English, but speaking Arabic with patients is a real advantage that employers look for.

Hospitality, aviation & retail

Customer-facing roles across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar often list Arabic as a preferred skill.

Translation & documentation

Reading and writing Modern Standard Arabic opens translation, contracts and paperwork-heavy roles.

Arabic studies in India

Universities such as JNU and Kerala University teach Arabic, and the CEFR-based Hamza test builds on the same levels.
